On the last day of the convention, their paths crossed again. Donald happened to be sitting in the row ahead of Jayla when her shoe slid forward. She asked him to hand it back, but to her dismay, he lifted her shoe over the seat, and her heel dangled in the middle of the program. As if that wasn’t enough, when Jayla went to leave her row, she tripped and fell at the very last seat on her way out. It wasn’t the impression she wanted to give off after the first awkward mix-up, and now a clumsy fall. Nevertheless, somehow, those uneasy moments became unforgettable. At the end of the day, Donald and Jayla exchanged contact information. Soon after, their conversations became daily. What started with quick chats grew into long phone calls, sometimes lasting for hours. Somewhere between the laughter, the late-night talks, and their shared spiritual growth, they found love. Their love has not always been effortless, but it has always been natural. They both believe Jehovah has truly blessed them with each other, and they pray that their threefold cord will grow, becoming an unbreakable bond.
