We met when we were around 13 and 23 years old. Our dad’s both worked together at the City of Seattle. We credit our relationship to them. Fun fact, we were both born at the same hospital, roughly ten years apart. As Christi a teenager, and Don a young adult, we had spent some time together at Don’s parent’s house in Seattle, as well as Mariners games with the family. After Christi’s family moved to Wilbur, WA, Don would come through occasionally for hunting and we’d see each other when he’d stop at the local restaurant where Christi worked throughout high school. Though age difference kept us from dating, similar interests and worldviews kept us close as friends. Throughout the years, we kept in touch, but we lived on opposite sides of the state. Christi eventually moved back to the West side of the state, where Don invited her to play coed softball. The rest is history.
