Please dress in beach formal—lightweight fabrics, breathable attire, and a polished look suitable for the beach. Shoes are required for the ceremony.

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in our wedding events. Hope you understand!

Our ceremony and reception will be outdoors.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them. However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, our photographer and videographer will have that covered!

December in Guanacaste is warm with an average high temperature of 88°F/31°C and average low of 70°F/21°C.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Liberia Airport Internacional, Guanacaste Province, Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR). It is approximately a 25 - 30 minutes ride to Andaz Hotel.

What should I know before booking a taxi in Costa Rica?

Answer

The biggest piece of advice is to always make sure to only ride with registered Costa Rican taxi drivers. It is not unusual for several people to ask you at the airport if you need a taxi. Unfortunately, some of these people are not legal taxi drivers and will overcharge you. You can always recognize official Costa Rican taxis because they are all red vehicles with a yellow triangle on the roof, driver’s side door, and front passenger side door. This yellow triangle contains their official taxi number.

What travel documents are needed to visit Costa Rica?

-A passport valid for at least three months after arrival date to Costa Rica - U.S. citizens do not need a Visa for Costa Rica - A return ticket back home or to another country is required upon entry. The length of visa-free stay is up to 90 days

Do I need to exchange my money?

Answer

No. Costa Rica accepts and uses the American dollar as currency. However, you may be given change in Costa Rican colones and will want to exchange or use them up before coming back to the US.

Should I notify my bank?

Answer

We suggest letting your bank know that you will be traveling abroad so you can use your cards without being flagged while in Costa Rica.

Answer

Costa Rica observes Central Standard Time (CST) all year. There are no daylight savings time changes.

Do I need any plug adaptors?

Answer

Outlets are the same as in the US, so no electric adaptors/converters are needed.

What should I use to navigate while in Costa Rica?

Answer

Waze and Google Maps work best in Costa! Apple Maps does not work here.

How to contact people while in Costa Rica?

Answer

Please confirm with your phone provider on your available international plan. Also be sure to download WhatsApp- this will be the most common method of communication for locals.
