Question

How does room booking work?

Answer

We have a small number of rooms blocked for our guests at the Lodge at Marconi at a discounted rate. Please use the booking link below. If no rooms are left in our room block, there are plenty of rooms for everyone at the wedding. Make sure you book your room for the weekend before someone not attending the wedding does! Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The wedding dress code is formal. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear formal suits with dark colors. Women should wear long dresses (feel free to be colorful and flow-y!). Walking to and from the ceremony site on Marconi's nature trails is encouraged, so please choose your footwear accordingly (think flats, cowboy/cowgirl boots, etc). There will be a 14 person van shuttling to/from the ceremony and reception sites for those who desire to walk less or wear heels. The reception will be outdoors in a tented celebration space so please bring very warm(!) layers for when the sun goes down or if the fog rolls in.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Nope! We love your children, but due to our agreement with the venue we do not have enough seats to include children or babies. Thanks for understanding!

Question

What's the closest airport?

Answer

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the closest airport to Tomales Bay. It is about a 1.5 hour drive to the venue so we recommend renting a car and enjoying the beautiful drive.

Question

What is the weather like there?

Answer

It will most likely be warm and sunny as is common for September on the coast. But keep in mind the fog could roll in for the mornings or evenings. Bring a warm jacket or very warm shawl to each event just in case!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony. Please turn off all devices and enjoy being fully present in the moment with us.

Question

Is there anything happening on Friday?

Answer

We opted to host a smaller rehearsal dinner for our family and the wedding party on Friday evening. We encourage you to book a room Friday and enjoy Point Reyes or arrive on Saturday in time to check in before the wedding. The restaurant/bar at The Lodge at Marconi "Mable's" is open until 8pm and the Old Western Saloon in Point Reyes Station is open until 2am on Friday.

Question

Will transportation be available around the Marconi property?

Answer

Yes, if you desire not to walk the paths around Marconi's property between the ceremony site and the reception area, there will be a passenger van shuttling 14 people at a time.

Question

Marconi is big! Where is each event happening?

Answer

1. The ceremony: will be at the top of tower hill. To get there, walk to Mable’s Restaurant from your hotel room and take the dirt path up the hill (about a 3 minute walk). A car shuttle will be available if desired (pick up at check-in area and drop off at ceremony site) 2. Cocktail hour: Will be on the patio at Buck Hall. From the ceremony, walk down the main paved road about 5 minutes to the lower level of Marconi's property. A van shuttle from the ceremony to cocktail hour will be available if desired. 3. Reception: Will be in the courtyard tent adjacent to cocktail hour 4. After party: Inside Buck Hall right next to the reception tent A van shuttle will be looping to take guests back to their rooms after the reception.

Question

What's the best place for breakfast on Sunday?

Answer
