It was a gloomy , your usual snowy day in february. Lindsay wasnt schedule to work that day, let alone open the restaurant ( DINO BBQ)) yet she ended up picking up a shift last minute. It was later in the afternoon & A party or 7 arrived. Lindsay and her work bestie Dana were arguing over whose table it was ( the servers would alternate depending on the time of day) & Lindsay had just ordered grub for herself ( hey, she gets hangry) but OF COURSE, she was next up. Everyone sat around the table and she could tell the party was celebrating a special occasion. The last person to sit at the said table was Don. Lindsay was extremely distracted by Don’s sense of humor to which she forget his sisters drink order ( ON HER WEDDING DAY NO LESS). At the end of the meal, Don approached Lindsay to give her the credit card receipts, a cash tip& at the bottom of the pile, his phone number. Lucky it was a real number, she waited a couple of hours to text him. She was intriqued by his honesty, politeness & charm. From that point on the two were inseperable, even if it only included late night phone calls & good morning text messages.
The two took a walk along the High Falls Bridge one sunny afternoon. Don always liked to play tricks on Lindsay to make her smile, laugh, or just to get her mind off of anxious thoughts. Don asked Lindsay to see how far and fast her spit would reach the Genesee River. She did this several times & once finally distracted enough, Don was knelt on one knee, confessing his love & asked Lindsay to be his forever. Needless to say, he was the winner of the day!
