Much like many others, our journey began with a simple swipe left, swipe right, and click! We matched and started chatting—our first conversations lasted for hours. We bonded over life’s challenges, our love for family, and our shared desire to deepen our relationship with God. We would meet in person, and when our eyes met and our connection was instant, but life would get in the way, and we would go our separate ways, keeping in touch as friends, checking in on each other, and hanging out from time to time. Until August 2024, when we decided to give love a try: we knew the connection we had when we first met was real and hearts connected on such a deep level—we just jumped in headfirst, giving each other our all. Our first date was at Carrabba’s, and we bonded over our love for Italian food. We continued to build a life together, going to church together, and not long after, Jarvis would make it known to many that he was going to marry me. Caught by surprise, but I knew that this was what I wanted as well.
