Moonlight State Beach

Or you can choose from any of the beautiful beaches along the San Diego Coast, it's hard to go wrong!
Balboa Park
Balboa Park is San Diego’s cultural heart, offering lush gardens, stunning architecture, and world-class museums. Guests can stroll along tree-lined pathways, admire historic Spanish-style buildings, or visit highlights like the Botanical Building and the San Diego Museum of Art. With plenty of open space, fountains, and charming plazas, it’s an ideal spot for a leisurely walk, memorable photos, or simply soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the city.
La Jolla Cove
This is where you can find some of the best brunch/lunch spots. Just a short 30-minute drive from Escondido, La Jolla Cove is a charming seaside spot known for its calm, clear waters and dramatic coastal cliffs. The cove is a natural haven for wildlife, where you can often see sea lions and seals basking on the rocks, and colorful fish swimming just beneath the surface in the protected marine area. Its small sandy beach and surrounding pathways make it easy to explore, take photos, or simply relax while enjoying the quintessential Southern California ocean views.
San Diego Zoo Safari Park
Dominique used to work here as a Bollywood dancer over the summer! The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is a sprawling wildlife sanctuary featuring exotic animals from around the world in naturalistic habitats. Guests can enjoy up-close experiences with giraffes, rhinos, and antelope on safari tours, stroll along scenic walking paths, and explore interactive exhibits. The park offers a mix of adventure and relaxation, making it a memorable outing for visitors of all ages without leaving North County.
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve
Located about 25–30 minutes west of Escondido, Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is a stunning coastal park in La Jolla offering breathtaking ocean views, unique wildlife, and scenic hiking trails.
