Hotel blocks have been arranged at Archer Hotel Florham Park & The Westin Governor Morris. Out of town guests are encouraged to book their rooms early as hotels tends to reach capacity. In the event that Archer Hotel & The Westin Governor Morris reach capacity, Hyatt House Morristown is 1.5 miles from Park Avenue Club, and The Madison Hotel is 2 miles from Park Avenue Club. Guests may wish to stay in Summit at either The Grand Summit Hotel or The DeBary Inn. Both lodgings are walking distance to St. Teresa of Avila and a 15-minute drive to Park Avenue Club.
Black-tie optional isn't as scary as it sounds! If you'd like to wear your most formal attire — a tuxedo or an evening gown — you won't be out of place. If suits, cocktail dresses, and jumpsuits are more your style, you'll fit right in as well. We only ask that jeans, sneakers, and dresses above the knee make their debut at the after party.
Our ceremony will be a traditional Catholic wedding service. Regardless of faith tradition, all are welcome. It will not be a full wedding mass, which means there will be no Communion/Eucharist service. Sit down (and stand and sit and stand and sit) and relax!
The ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM. Guests are encouraged to arrive 15-20 minutes early to find their seats. St. Teresa of Avila Church provides ample parking and a beautiful courtyard for mingling, should weather permit.
If you have a food allergy, please contact the bride or groom. It is of utmost importance that guests are safe and comfortable. Accommodations and menu changes will be made with Park Avenue Club to ensure that all guests enjoy their evening.
For guests arriving from NYC via NJTransit, the Summit station is a 4-minute walk to St. Teresa of Avila Church. Guests returning to NYC from the Florham Park area will want to use the Madison station, as it is closer.
We expect the ceremony to conclude by 3:45 PM. As out of town guests arriving on Friday will need to check in to their hotels, we have arranged for cocktail hour to begin at Park Avenue Club at 5:00 PM. Should guests prefer to explore rather than freshen up between ceremony and cocktail hour, we highly suggest a stroll through downtown Summit. The groom recommends an Irish Stout at Bull N Bear or cold brew from Boxwood Coffee. The bride recommends libations at BarBacoa and browsing Henry's Fine Jewelry (in that order).
