It all began on an ordinary Sunday in Houston—well, as ordinary as a Sunday can be when the Buffalo Bills are playing. Amid the sea of jerseys, wings, and shouting fans, Alex spotted Krista. She had this radiant smile, a spark in her eyes, and was, unfortunately, very much taken. Still, something about her lingered in Alex's mind. So he did what any hopeless romantic (and die-hard Bills fan) would do—he came back. Every. Single. Sunday. Hoping to run into "Bills girl" again. A whole year passed. Then one day, as if scripted by fate (and maybe a little NFL scheduling magic), Krista was there again. This time, single. This time, everything changed. They started spending time together. Laughing. Falling. Sharing music, meals, dreams—and, unintentionally, a case of COVID (thanks, Alex). Nothing, could literally separate them now, as they quarantined for 10 days together. Life had some crazy plans. Alex got a job in Oklahoma. Krista moved to Washington, D.C. Most couples would have called it too hard, too far, too much. But not these two. Two and a half years of long-distance love made their bond stronger, not weaker. There were road trips, late-night calls, airport hugs, and goodbyes that always led to the next hello. Then came the wine bar. A quiet corner of the world where Alex, with nerves and a ring, asked Krista to spend forever with him. Spoiler alert-- She said yes! And now, here we are. The Bills still haven’t won the Super Bowl, but Alex and Krista have won something far greater. They found each other. (But they still very much want that Super Bowl) Now, all they need is all their favorite people to join them as they get married.
