They met in the Fall of 2019 where Dominique held her first job after obtaining her master's degree. Ironically, Chadrick met Dominique because his mom also worked at this same practice. One day, Chad picked up his mom after work, but couldn't reach her, so he was forced to come inside the building. Upon entry, he came across a locked door that would eventually lead to Dominique for the first time leaving him speechless. During this time Chad was a chef, so for the next two weeks he dropped off an array of desserts for Dominique on her desk. Dominique would soon return to the desk to find the dessert after seeing a patient and was confused about who left it for her. Finally, she asked Chad's mother, "who left this for me." She replied, "my son, " Dominique said," why does your son never stick around for me to thank him for the dessert then?" She replied, " Girl, I don't know what you did to my son, but since the day he laid eyes on you, he will not stop asking about you, I told him he needs to talk to you." A few days later, Dominique caught him in the parking lot as she was leaving home one day to thank him for her delicious treats. He then asked that they exchange numbers so that Dominique could "show him around Atlanta". She began to hang out with Chad, and the two of them began to grow closer as they cultivated the most vital friendship either of them had ever had. Despite their known friendship, Chad would jokingly come into Dom's job and ask her coworkers, "where’s my girlfriend." However, she brushed it off as Chad joking. She soon learned the contrary when she later asked him why he called her "his girlfriend." He replied, "I knew I wanted you to be my girlfriend, and I knew you were going to be my wife from the day I laid eyes on you so I was just calling you what I knew you would be." Immediately after their conversation, Chad asked Dominique to be his girlfriend on December 21, 2019. and their love continued to grow...

For Dominiques birthday Chadrick surprised her with a week long vacation to Montego Bay, Jamaica. On December 27th, 2021 as they were celebrating Dominiques 27th birthday, Chadrick coordinated a romantic surprise candlelit dinner for two on the beach. Chadrick told Dominique he wanted her friends and family to celebrate with us on a zoom call for this special milestone of her turning 27 on the 27th. During the dinner, Chadrick had a dj playing some of Dominique's favorite love songs. The song, "How Do I Live Without You" by Celine Dion was playing as Chadrick distracted Dominique with directing her attention to the zoom call. Shortly after Chad signaled for the server to bring him the ring, he held it behind his back and proceeded to get down on one knee. He then asked Dominique for her hand in marriage and to spend the rest of their lives together. Dominique ecstatically said "YES" and they became engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Jamaica!
