Ava and Dom both went to Coral Glades high school only one grade apart. Ironically enough, while both were attending school at the same time, they never got a chance to connect but they knew of each other. It wasn’t until shortly before Ava’s graduation that they connected over Instagram after encouragement from mutual friends and the rest is history!

Dom had planned a very romantic weekend to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure to celebrate their 7 year anniversary. He booked them in a cozy little cabin on a pond with a mountain view. They enjoyed the shops and restaurants of the town of Chimney Rock, hiking at the state park, and fishing for trout in the river. On the last full day there, the couple took a short trail on the mountain opposite of the state park. As they reached the rocky out cropping at the top, and Ava was taking a picture of the view, Dom got down on one knee behind her. She turned around and immediately said “Finally, YES!”
