Matron of Honor
Jess and I have known each other since we were 14 years old and she's more sister than friend to me. With her by my side I've gotten stuck in an elevator with a Christmas Tree, got trapped in party bathrooms, and survived my failed attempts at surfing and motorbiking. Here's to another 25 years of misadventures!
Best Man
Bret and I have been friends for over 30 years! We grew up in Hyattsville together he is an honorary member of the Elliott clan and I consider myself the long lost member of the Adams family. Bret has always been there for me, and I'm proud to have him as my Best Man. I was also Bret's Best Man at his wedding and nailed the toast - no pressure Bret.
Bridesmaid
Thiara and I met when we were 14 when we both moved to Ashland. She was always effortlessly cool and quickly rubbed off on me as I too began to wear my belt buckle on the side and listen to Incubus. 25 years later, she's still my inspiration in all things and I'm so lucky to have her as a friend.
Groomsman
Danny and I spent our formative years together and although he has been living in different parts of the country since joining the Navy, I'll never forget reading Far Side comics in his living room with his family, eating Flavor-Ices at the Hyattsville pool, and playing for our band "Freeload."
Bridesmaid
Alex and I met at a house party in DC and although we should have met earlier since we both lived in West Hartford growing up! We did make up for lost time and spent our 20s and 30s being each others wingwomen in love and life. I'm so excited to have her by my side on my wedding day!
Groomsman
Dave and I first met when he became my roommate in College Park. Dave is one of the funniest people I've ever known. He inspires me to keep pushing my cycling goals and can quote any line from The Simpsons (the good seasons only).
Bridesmaid
Kelsey and I met at our first real jobs and quickly fell into the "AWEA girls" gang. Together we have traveled all around the world, from hiking never-ending mountains to learning how to sail (kind of). Having Kels as a friend is a true gift, though you have come to terms that you'll always lose if you challenge her to a dance off.
Groomsman
Lee and I have been friends ever since we met in the 80s (kindergarten) and we've remained good friends through all these crazy years! We started our first band in high school and have played music in some form together since then. Lee is an outstanding musician and father, but most of all, he is an amazing friend.
