Day 1 - October 27, 2015 - The First Date We met for a first date at the Cheesecake Factory. Tyler was excited to meet the cute guy from The Gap, while Dominic was looking forward to the mac and cheese balls. Even though we had lived in the same residence hall only a few doors apart, our paths hadn’t yet crossed until this night. Dominic let Tyler have the last bite, even though we both knew Dominic really wanted it. Day 233 - June 16, 2016 - The First Trip Our first time getting on an airplane together. Dominic would have to admit that he was a nervous flier. Luckily, Tyler squeezed his hand tighter for takeoff, like he still does today. Since then, we’ve traveled up and down the west coast and made countless trips to Chicago. Day 1,091 - October 22, 2018 - The First Apartment We officially moved into an apartment in Blackstone and have lived in the neighborhood ever since! This neighborhood will always be a special part of our relationship. You can always find us overeating at Mula, meeting friends at Little Ricky’s, or getting our tan on at the Cottonwood pool. Day 2,851 - August 17, 2023 - The Engagement Dominic thought it was just a date night, but Tyler had better plans. While the couple enjoyed a nice meal at the Committee Chophouse, Tyler’s family was busy at work decorating a Cottonwood Hotel balcony for a romantic proposal. After dinner was complete and the coast was clear, Tyler led Dominic upstairs. Surrounded by flowy curtains, flowers, and candles, Tyler got down on one knee and proposed. Dominic said YES! Day 3,238 - September 7, 2024 - The Wedding We’re so excited for our biggest milestone yet. Even when we met in 2015, it didn’t seem like celebrating a love like ours would be possible. We’re so happy that we get to bring our friends and family together as we begin the next chapter of our lives. We can’t wait to celebrate with you. Cheers!
