Wedding Party

These are our beloved friends that will stand beside us on our special day. Each of them has played a special part in our lives, and we are honored to have them with us on our journey.

Shaye Herring

Bridesmaid

We knew each other mutually at church but were never close until College. We both started attending Urshan and needed a roommate. We chose each other and honestly had no idea how it would go. Within the first few weeks, we both realized that we had made the right decision. We both love to sit and talk about skincare and watch studio ghibli films. You will probably see us laughing uncontrollably if you are ever with us, as it happens quite often. Us having similar names should have been a sign that we were going to be two peas on a pod. I'm thankful to have her in my life and am blessed that she said yes to standing beside me as I marry my Dominic!

Kyly Plumlee

Bridesmaid

Kyly and I were already mutual friends when we began serving in our church's Children's Ministry together. She and her husband connected with us one evening over dinner, talking about ministry, which quickly blossomed into a beautiful time of fellowship and friendship. Kyly has an amazing personality and is one of the most supportive people I have ever known. She truly is kingdom-minded and shows the love of Christ to all those she meets. We constantly connect on our unique love for organization and spreadsheets. She is a lovely balance of a best friend that will laugh with you, cry with you, and pray for you all in the same setting. I'm blessed to call her my friend and even more excited for her to stand by me on my wedding day!

Grace Carr

Bridesmaid

Grace and I met at Urshan College after a service when the Lord impressed upon her to come and sit by me. Little did she know that the Lord had also been telling me that we would connect soon. We spent that evening sitting in our school's chapel talking for 3 hours straight. We connected immediately, and the comfort that comes in a friendship over time seemed to exist already in the first few moments. Grace and I connect on so many things it would be hard to recount. We can talk for long periods of time on any subject. Grace is a friend like no other and every person that meets her can attest to how lovely she can make each conversation. I am blessed to have her in my life and standing by my side on my wedding day!

Elizabeth Gentry

Bridesmaid

Liz and I have known each other for what seems like forever. We are childhood best friends that never grew out of one another. Although our age difference seemed weird to onlookers when we were young, we have always been on the same page. No matter how long between our times together, we can always pick up the bookmark of right where we left off. I have watched Liz become an amazing wife and mother over the past several years. I am more proud of her than I can possibly express. She truly is an amazing person that is intentional and always looking for ways to grow in her walk with God. I am so happy that Liz is in my life and that we have gotten to grow up together. I am even more blessed to have her stand beside me as I marry my love in October!

Nathan Long

Groomsman

Nathan, Easton, and I met at Urshan College. Early into our first semester, we have clicked and stuck together like glue. Nathan is a student, scholar, and saint. He has such a hunger to overcome any challenge that gets in his way. He is slow to speak and quick to listen, ready to give wisdom beyond his years. He and I have always challenged one another to get closer to God. Nathan has a sense of humor that can very quickly light up the room. He finds joy in lifting others up. He and I share a love for Star Wars, board games, computers, and good ole spiritual conversations. I'm beyond thrilled that he will stand beside me on the wedding day like he has stood by me so many times these past few years. Love you Chicken Leg!

Zane Plumlee

Groomsman

Zane Plumlee has become a brother to me these past number of years. Zane and Kyly welcomed Shayna and me into their Children's Ministry Team, and pretty shortly after, we became very close friends. From this friendship, we have enjoyed countless game nights, dinners, and devotionals. Zane and I are very similar in our demeanor. Zane has always been ready and able to be in my corner whenever I need him. No matter the distance that separated us, our friendship has never faltered for a second. His counsel has led me through situations time and time again. His heart and passion for people and ministry have inspired me. I'm grateful to have such a man stand next to me on my wedding day. I love you, Bro!

Easton Courtney

Groomsman

Easton, Nathan, and I have been a very close-knit group since our first semester at Urshan College. We experienced living in hotels together, along with a slew of other situations. Easton showed me his incredible driving skills repeatedly (without my permission) as he drove us to campus when my car was broken. He is a faithful friend to all and an incredible human being to have in your corner. Easton has the heart of a servant and a genuine heart for the lives of people. His love for others inspires me every time we're together. I'm blessed to call him a brother and friend. Humbled that he would stand by me on my wedding day. I love you, E!

Kaleb Hart

Groomsman

Kaleb and I's friendship has developed the most recent out of any of my Groomsman. That friendship was kindled from playing Strategy board games such as Risk and others. We quickly became very close. He's a friend that will sit down with you and listen for hours if need be. He would drop everything and travel cross-country (most likely driving through the night) to help or even to just say hello. Kaleb is the one who instilled my love for Chess and taught me how to play. He is the definition of a strategist. He is always at 3 moves ahead. I'm convinced that he lets me win when I rarely do. We've spent many nights up late playing Chess, talking about Jesus, and building each other up. I'm grateful to have such a godly man stand next to me on my wedding day. I love you, man!
