Our Story: Her

For over a year, a family member named Marianne, relentlessly insisted that I apply at this local, family-owned business called Luna Pizzeria that she worked at. Having never heard of it before, I brushed off the thought of working at an Italian restaurant, especially since I never really liked Italian food. After having my sister’s wedding reception there, I decided to drop my resume off and give it a shot. Something as ordinary as dropping off my resume was one of the best decisions I have made. It was at Luna’s that I met Dominic. I remember all the nerves of being the new girl, and being introduced to all the employees, and thinking “How on earth will I remember all these people’s names?”. Yet, there was this one fellow that I was instantly taken aback by and knew remembering his name would be easy. Dominic came up to me and nonchalantly asked what my name was (even though I was pretty sure he knew my name), and told me his name. And to be quite honest, I was smitten by him. The next few weeks of getting to know Dominic at work I was in awe of his easy going personality, his humor, and his kindness. While at work, Marianne kept talking about him and she would slyly mention how he was single… all while winking at me. Time had gone by since I started working there and I had lost hope of catching the eye of Dominic, so I gave up and figured he was not interested. Little did I know, he was just working up the courage to ask me out. 4th of July was our first date. I will never forget how he was such a gentleman and such a fun time to be around. We started dating July 24th, 2019 and every day since has been such a joy. Throughout our time dating, we spent much time together, getting to know each other, talking about anything and everything, and having the most fun. It only took a few months for me to realize that this was the man I wanted to marry. Dominic is a gift to me and I am so thankful for him and I am unbelievably happy to be his wife.

Our Story: His

The first time I met Madison was her first night working at Luna’s. I asked her what her name was even though I knew exactly who she was. I know that may sound creepy, but I promise I knew of her only because Marianne, my co-worker who happens to be Madison’s sister’s mother in law, told me about Madison. Marianne had told me about this girl she was trying to get to come work at Luna’s and how she thought maybe she would be a good match for me. I responded with “Nah, I’m good. I like being single and don’t need to be dating anyone I work with. Screw that.” But then, I met her and saw how pretty she was, talked to her over the course of a couple months and saw how smart and funny she was. Eventually, I couldn’t fight it anymore and I knew she was the perfect girl for me. Before I ever asked her out I knew there was a more than solid chance she was it for me. One day while I was at the gym, I decided to ask her out to lunch and she says no it was too short of a notice. I say, “How about tomorrow?” and she says she is busy already. I thought “Oh great, did I read all of this wrong?” Then I once more asked if she wanted to get lunch the day after that, which happened to be the 4th of July. And she said yes! After three dates, she went to Europe with her grandma for a two week trip. I thought maybe it would fizzle out, that she would forget about me. But, the opposite happened. I think somehow we grew closer through texting and Facetiming while she was gone. The first day we saw each other after she got back I asked her to be my girlfriend. I knew I wanted to marry her with no doubts after a few weeks. About three months after dating, I told her that I intended to marry her and it made me so happy to tell her that. It made me even more happy to see her reaction, which was a huge smile. I am so thankful that Madison chose to take Marianne’s advice to come work at Luna’s. I thank God for putting this wonderful, beautiful, hilarious woman in my life.
