FAQs

Question

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in the RSVP card?

Answer

You can choose to use either option. Some of you should have received your RSVP card with your invitation and can mail that in if you choose to do so or simply RSVP through the website. All RSVPs must be submitted or sent to us by March 31st, 2025 or we will assume you are sadly unable to attend.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

For the Ceremony: The Gardens have a parking lot at their entrance. There is also street parking if the lot becomes to full. For the Reception: There will be a parking lot at the corner of Serbian and Geyer that is reserved for us. Please note this parking lot does NOT allow overnight parking.

Question

Where do I go if I need to park my vehicle overnight?

Answer

If you plan on staying in the city overnight and don't want to worry about driving your vehicle after the reception, please park your vehicle on the street or look into booking a room at our selected hotel and taking the shuttle we have provided. The Reception Venue does not allow overnight parking in their lot and will tow the vehicle and send an invoice with a hefty fee.

Question

How do I book a Hotel room with your discounted rate?

Answer

To book a room within our hotel block please use the URL on the travel page. You must book the room before May 2, 2025 to receive the discounted rate.

Question

When will the shuttle leave if I decide to stay at the hotel?

Answer

The shuttle will be making trips between the hotel and the reception venue between 4:30pm and 4:50pm. The last shuttle will leave at 4:50 and will not make any trips back until after Dinner and Special Dances. Please be sure to be on the shuttle by 4:50 pm.

Question

What if I want to leave the reception before it is over but I booked a hotel room and took the shuttle?

Answer

After dinner and special dances are over the shuttle is open for any of those wanting to return to the hotel. They will only be making stops at the reception venue and the hotel. The shuttle will be sitting at the reception venue when not transporting guest. Their last trip will leave the reception venue at 10:10 pm. If you are staying at the hotel and rode the shuttle over that will be your last chance to get back to that hotel without having to pay for an Uber.

Question

Do I need to pay to get into the Gardens?

Answer

No, there should be Garden employees near the entrance to the gardens, you will simply just have to tell them you are here for the Govro/Lagermann Wedding.

Question

How do I find the ceremony location once I am in the Botanical Garden?

Answer

The ceremony will be located in the Japanese gardens, we have provided a map with your invitation. If you have forgotten the map we provided you there should be maps in the entrance of the gardens, however these will not have the highlighted route. Please make sure you show up with enough time to make it to the ceremony location within the gardens. Ceremony will start at 2:00pm. We recommend you show up at 1:30pm.

Question

Will the Ceremony and Reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

For the Ceremony: The ceremony will be held outside in the Japanese Garden. For the Reception: The reception venue has both inside and outside areas. The majority of the events at the reception will be held inside but we will have games outside for those who are not so into dancing.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Dressy Casual. We would love to see everyone in their nice spring attire. We do ask that you do not wear white, ivory, or any white/ivory-based items. We are aware it will likely be pretty warm this day and we want everyone to be comfortable. For the men: Please no jeans or jean shorts, short sleeves are fine. Spring/Summer colors preferred. For the ladies: We would love to see you all in cute spring dresses or attire, no jeans or jean shorts please. For the they/thems: Spring/Summer colors preferred. Take bits and pieces of above suggestions.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

As much as we’d love to invite all of our friends’ wonderful little ones, we as a couple have decided to keep both the ceremony and reception to those above the age of 10, other than those in the wedding party. Please look at your RSVP to verify who we have invited. We hope that you understand.

Question

Can I Bring a plus one?

Answer

We as a couple have decided to only have our close friends and family to celebrate with us so unless it is noted on your invitation there will not be room for any plus ones.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

If you have any dietary restrictions please note that on your RSVP or reach out to one of us so we can make that note and make sure the venue is aware.

Question

Answer

The ceremony starts at 2:00 pm. We ask that you arrive 30 - 45 minutes before hand. This should give you ample time to make your way through the Gardens to the ceremony location.

Question

What if I am late to the Ceremony?

Answer

If you come in late to the ceremony we ask that you quietly stand off to the side as to not interrupt the ceremony.

Question

What do I do after the Ceremony and before the Reception?

Answer

We purposely gave time in between the ceremony and reception so all of our guests have time to explore the Gardens. If you are unsure of where to start you can go to the "Things to Do" page which I have loaded with sites and experiences within the Gardens.

Question

Can I take pictures at your wedding?

Answer

We have hired an amazing photographer so we do ask that during the ceremony you keep your phones down and be present with us in this beautiful moment. If you want pictures of the ceremony we are more than happy to share those with everyone once we receive them back from the photographer. At the reception we will have a QR code that allows everyone to take a number of pictures that will be uploaded to a shared album for all of the guests to see. We would love for you to participate and share all of the photos from the reception.

Question

What if I have more questions?

Answer

If you have any questions that we have not answered here feel free to contact either Lauren or Dominic and we will respond as quickly as possible!
