FAQs

Question

Where will the celebrations take place?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will both be held at Flying Horse Resort and Club—so once you arrive, you’re in the right place all day. Please bring your ID as Flying Horse requires it to serve alcohol.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Sooner rather than later (we promise it makes us very happy). The official deadline is July 1, 2026—after that, we’ll sadly assume you can’t make it and will miss you terribly. Head over to our RSVP page, type in your name, and your personal RSVP will pop up like magic. While you’re there, let us know about any allergies or dietary needs!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. As we're keeping it intimate, only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

For our special day, we have decided to keep our wedding adults-only, with exceptions to those whose children are named on their formal invitation. We hope you'll take this chance for a special getaway!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4:00 pm so we kindly request that you arrive 30 minutes early so that you don't miss anything. This will also give you time to park, sign the guest book, and find your seat.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! The dress code is semi-formal where tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. The ceremony will be held outside with the reception indoors.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Colorado Springs in August is basically summer at its best—think sunshine for days! Based on typical climate patterns, August 15, 2026, is expected to be warm and dry, with daytime highs in the mid-80s to low 90s. Now, this is Colorado, so a brief afternoon thunderstorm isn’t out of the question—but they tend to roll through quickly and clear up just as fast. Plus, a little rain on a wedding day is said to be good luck…so we’ll take it if it happens and make accommodations for the ceremony. Once the sun sets, things cool down beautifully for those perfect, comfortable evening vibes. Pro tip: bring your sunglasses, stay hydrated, and maybe pack a light layer for when the mountain air rolls in after dark!

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

In order for our guests to be fully present with us during one of the most important moments in our lives, we are having an unplugged ceremony. Our professional photographer will capture every special moment and we will of course, share our photos with you afterwards. After the ceremony, we would love for you to capture our special day and encourage you to snap away!

Question

Can I share photos on social media?

Answer

Of course! We welcome you to share our special day, and please tag us in any of your posts so we can see it from every angle! However, we kindly request that our guests do not post any photos of us, the Bride and the Groom, on social media until we have had the opportunity to do so first.
