The Rite of Marriage occurs at the beginning, immediately after the procession, and is followed by an uninterrupted celebration of the Mass. Special blessings are bestowed upon the couple after the Pater Noster and at the dismissal. All the hymns and prayers of the Mass will be in Latin. The vows will be said in English, as will the priest's homily. Latin-English booklets will be provided as an aid for those who wish to follow along. Extraordinary Form Masses tend to run longer than Ordinary Form Masses; considering our anticipated attendance and the addition of the Rite of Marriage, we are estimating about two and a half hours in the church.
Of course! All are invited to join in the celebration of our Nuptial Mass. We simply request that those who are not practicing Catholics refrain from receiving Holy Communion.
Gluten-free and dairy-free options will be provided for dinner and dessert. The whole menu will be kept nut-free.
