There are a plethora of terrible dating apps out there, we happened to meet on one of them. Texting over the holidays turned into a dinner date. We spent the whole night sitting at a small table in a corner of a quaint restaurant chatting and smiling at each other much to the annoyance of the staff who had to start sweeping under our table way past closing time to get us to leave. Date two was a basketball game at the Staples Center followed by pickle-back shots (Whiskey with a chaser of pickle juice) at an Irish pub. The evening ended with both of us thinking about how to play the closing kiss cool. The Uber driver's rush to leave Alyssa's house made that difficult. Date three was dinner at Dom's. Some shepherds pie and brownies later and we both knew that this was it. No need to play it cool this time. Or since. Now, a cat, a dog, a graduation, plenty of movie nights, beers with friends and a few 'it's only a short walk' lies later we're getting ready to tie the knot. We're both really excited and can not wait for you to join us!
