Erica: I was a freshman at the University of New Haven when I was first introduced to Dominic through a mutual friend. I just wanted to get to know him as he was also in the Forensic Science program, but he "forgot" to answer my text after he invited me to game night. Then we lived across the hall from each other sophomore year and we actually became friends this time. His friendship never felt awkward, I never had to pretend I was something other than myself, and his presence just felt right. Allowing myself to fall in love with him, was the best decision I ever made. We have had our fair share of challenges: long distance, Covid-19, outside opinions, College, Grad school, and a State Police Academy, but we have always chosen to choose each other. Now we have our own little family in a small town with our fuzzy children, Goose and Raven. My heart is beyond full as I get to marry the man who has stood by and loves me in every version of myself. Dominic: “The best things in life come when you least expect them” For me, college was a time of the highest highs and lowest lows. I overcame tremendous anxiety and self-doubt, and just when I thought I had it all figured out, someone so unexpected forever altered the course of my life. At a time when I felt at peace with myself, God sent me an Angel in the form of Erica. Nothing in life could have prepared me for the warmth and sincerity Erica has shown me these past 7 years. She has consistently loved and cared for me throughout my greatest achievements, and my darkest of times. I am overwhelmed with joy to be marrying my Best Friend, and fulfill our shared dream of a long life and beautiful family. I love you Erica Levin; Forever & Always.
