We're getting excited!

Marcus and Domonique met while they both were attending Morgan State University. The Alphas were hosting a midnight cruise at the Inner Harbor. Their mutual friend had done the Miss Black and Gold pageant and had Domonique and her friends at all the events. This event was no different. At some point during the evening they were introduced to each other, but went their separate ways. They crossed paths again a year later. Afterward Domonique expressed to their mutual friend how attractive she thought Marcus was. Their friend ended up spilling the beans, sharing that Marcus would always ask about Domonique while they were at work together. Wow, they were both interested in each other! Domonique swiftly told her to send Marcus her number. A day or two later (2/24/15 to be exact), Marcus was sending a text and the rest is history.

A week before Domonique's 30th birthday trip, Marcus took her out for an "early birthday dinner" at Capital Grille in the Inner Harbor. After a delicious meal, Marcus and Domonique headed for the door. Little did she know, Marcus had a surprise waiting on the other side. They were met by many friends and family, a red carpet, rose petals, and letters that spelled out "Marry Me". Marcus delivered a beautiful speech and proposal before getting on one knee. Marcus was so thoughtful, making sure that Domonique's mom was present and that all of their family and friends near and far could witness the moment.
