Tessie's Parents are Getting Married!

Truth be told, we don't remember the first time we met. We have known each other for so long, we were each just always there! We remember each other best from working as counselors together at Voorhees Theatre Company's summer program. Fast forward to 2016, we reconnected as so many do, on dating apps. Lexy said "No matter what happens, Mia will always be my favorite Acerbo," and the rest is history.

On April 10, 2021, we adopted Tessie from Jonah's Ark Animal Rescue in Ocean County, NJ. We fell in love immediately and our lives have never been the same. Tessie brings so much joy, love, and laughs into our life together and we truly believe she completed our little family. We will miss her on our wedding day, but you'll see her personality and sweet face throughout our special day!

On the anniversary of our first date, we have a tradition where we both take off from work to go into the city for a day of food, holiday shopping, and Christmas lights. On our 7th anniversary, we followed a familiar routine for the day: brunch, the Christmas Village at Dilworth Park, and the Wannamaker Light Show (Lexy's favorite). Dom suggested a different stop than usual in Rittenhouse Square. As day turned to night and the Christmas lights in the park blinked on row by row, Dom started reminiscing on an early date in the same location, when we were just 21 and 22. He talked about how far we've come, the life we've built, and then he asked Lexy to marry him. Starting this next chapter in a way that honored such treasured traditions and precious memories made the moment absolutely perfect.
