FAQs

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. The dress code is semi-formal, an emphasis for our garden celebration. Guests are asked to dress elegantly and thoughtfully, appropriate for a refined outdoor event. This is not intended to be a casual occasion. For women, suitable attire includes midi-length or maxi-length dresses, structured or tailored jumpsuits, skirts paired with dressy blouses, or elevated coordinated separates. Fabrics should be refined, and overall styling should feel polished and intentional. Dressy flats, heels, or wedges are appropriate footwear. For men, suitable attire includes slacks or tailored trousers paired with a collared shirt. A blazer or lightweight suit is strongly encouraged, and ties are welcome though not required. Lightweight fabrics, elegant silhouettes, and tasteful colors or patterns are encouraged to complement the garden setting while maintaining a formal aesthetic. As the event will take place outdoors, guests should plan accordingly and choose footwear suitable for walking on grass or uneven surfaces without compromising formality. To maintain the tone of the celebration, we kindly ask guests to avoid casual items such as jeans, sneakers, T-shirts, shorts, or other everyday wear. If in doubt, please err on the side of dressing more formally. Thank you for helping us create a beautifully polished and cohesive celebration.

Question

Can I use my phone or camera during the ceremony?

Answer

Please do not use phones or cameras during the ceremony. We are asking for an unplugged ceremony so everyone can be fully present, and our photographer will be capturing everything. If a phone makes an appearance, you may be lovingly but publicly called out. Consider this your warning. Thank you for helping us keep the moment special.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We kindly ask that only those guests whose names are listed on the invitation attend. We are unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those formally invited. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will step away briefly to take photographs nearby. During this time, guests are invited to make their way to the reception area, where a cocktail hour will take place. Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served as we prepare for the evening’s celebration.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors. We recommend planning accordingly for weather conditions and choosing attire and footwear that are comfortable and appropriate for an outdoor setting.
