The story of Dom and I begins with Sue. As some of you may know, Dominick's mom, Sue and I are both teachers. My teaching career began working in the same building as Sue. I even completed a leave replacement for her in her class. As you can imagine, we got very close. It was around February. After a grueling 100 days of school (post Covid), some of the girls from our school decided to go out for celebratory drinks. The drinks were flowing and Sue blurts out that she wants me to meet her son. Then she immediately says wait never mind... and I quote "He's too much of a pain in the ass" .... (her words not mine!!! ). Nothing ever came of that comment. Or so I thought. Flash forward about 2 months to April. I am working still in the same school and just so happen to be across the hall from Sue that particular day. The school day is about to begin and just as I wrap up a conversation with a guy who I matched with on a dating app, Sue sprints out of her classroom as if there was a huge emergency. Come to find out... the guy I was talking to was Dominick and he had called his mother to see if she knew " any Gabriella that works in Sachem and what she thought of her" That very night Dominick and I went on our first date. And the rest is history!!!!
