If you choose to fly, we recommend you fly into McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville. While that may require a connecting flight, it is only 35-40 minutes away from Vonore. The next closest airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (3-hour drive), followed by Nashville International (3.5+ hour drive) to locations near Vonore, such as Maryville and Knoxville. As Vonore sits near the foothills of the Smokies, there are several hotels and Airbnb options in the area. Anywhere in Vonore, Greenback, Maryville, Lenoir City, or Madisonville will work, but some may require a 15-20 minute drive to the Jones home. This search is for Friday, Oct 8th, to Sunday, Oct 10th. The entire place to yourself. If you want to stay in a cabin or cute lil Airbnb, book ASAP! This is just before fall colors in East Tennessee and places are already booking up quickly.

Flight

McGhee-Tyson

You can fly into Nashville, but we highly recommend flying into McGhee-Tyson. We have tried both and find that, unless you plan to stay in Tennessee for a few days before and after, it is far easier to fly into Knoxville.

These hotels have special rates, as indicated on the link. We haven't stayed at any of them personally, but these are going to be your best deals. As far as location, we highly recommend Maryville and Lenoir City.

Rental Car

You very much will need a car to get around. Vonore is quite remote and only has one Uber driver... ...and he might be asleep.
