Same love, new chapter

Dominic and Rebecca met on a dating app called Hinge in November 2022. The first date didn’t come until December, where Dom says he thought Becca was a little too 'stiff' and asked too many questions. Becca thought Dom was quiet but wanted to learn more about him. Their second date was to Leavenworth on a spur of the moment drive after work one day. Becca wanted to show Dom the magic of Leavenworth at Christmas time since he had never been. What he didn't know was neither had she. Dom said this is where Becca's goofy side came out and he knew he wanted to continue seeing her. They made their relationship official at the start of the new year. Dom and Becca realized they were opposites in almost every way, but it wasn't a bad thing - they complimented each other and were able to step up where the other fell short. For example, Becca picked up a talent for cooking but hates doing the dishes after. Dom has been known to start a fire or two in the kitchen but enjoys cleaning and keeping things neat and tidy. Things moved fast and before they knew it, Dom was moving in. They quickly realized Becca’s studio apartment was on the small side and they needed more space for them and their three cats. They started searching and before long found a three-bedroom house in September 2023. They added two more cats to the mix and worked on making their new space a home. Lots of paint, shopping trips, and calls to Becca’s dad later, their home is their safe place and something they are very proud of. Dom and Becca went on their first major trip together to Hawaii that November for Becca's birthday. They love to travel. In the 3 years they have been together, they have now visited 10 states along with Canada. They hope to visit many more states and countries in the years to come. As time went on, Dom and Becca fell harder for each other and knew that they were creating a life they loved little by little. Not long after their one year anniversary, in April 2024, Dom asked Becca to marry him at a river side park in Wenatchee. Of course, Becca said yes and they excitedly got to wedding planning. The end of 2024 and through 2025 was very difficult for Dom and Becca. They faced several losses, challenges and changes. To name a few, Dom's job went on strike for two months, Dom and Becca both lost their grandmothers, Becca was laid off from her job, and they lost one of their kitties. Through all this, their love and support for one another brought them closer together and helped them weather these storms.
