We love this place and have been here on so many dates! We like to rent a boat and sail around the harbor as we look at the nice homes. They have live music on the weekends and excellent places to have food and dessert! We've taken our family and friends here and highly recommend!
The Cave is hidden deep inside The Ventura Wine Company retail wine shop and was created to bridge the gap between the causal or beginner wine drinker and the connoisseur or foodie. They have 40 wines by the glass that can easily be paired with a menu of small plates, pizzas, salads, and burgers created in their small kitchen.
If you're really adventurous, you can take a day trip at one of the Channel Islands. A popular island is Mid or East Santa Cruz Island and reservations have to be made through Island Packers (http://islandpackers.com/). The islands are considered national parks of California and so there are no entrance fees. There are great hiking trails, campgrounds for camping, kayaking, snorkeling, bird watching, and just wildflower viewing. Dolly has been to East Santa Cruz Island and spent the weekend camping and hiking.
This is one of the best known outlets in Southern California! You'll find many well-known designers at a bargain, we highly recommend.
