Dear Family and Friends, We understand many of you have concerns surrounding COVID-19 and its impact on our wedding. We wanted to address some of those concerns and provide what you can expect for August 2nd. We are 4 weeks out from our postponed wedding date. While invitations have been delayed, they should be going out very soon. We ask that you RSVP via our website as soon as you are able. Please use your best discretion on deciding to attend. If you have recently (within 2 weeks of August, 2nd) been in contact with a COVID positive individual, we kindly ask you not to attend. We are working on offering a livestream of our ceremony for anyone who is unable to attend, so they may participate from afar. The following procedures will be put in place to keep our gathering as low risk as possible: - Temperatures will be checked before entrance to ensure no guests are putting others at risk. If your temperature is 100.4 or higher - per the definition of the CDC - we will kindly ask you to return home and participate by livestream - Our dance floor will be separate from the dining area - There will be hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue - All cups, plates, and silverware will be single use. Please do not abandon your drink unless you are finished - All servers will be wearing masks and gloves. Gloves will be replaced between tasks - Tables and ceremony seating will be spaced further apart than usual - Staff will be wiping down frequently touched surfaces If you are traveling from out of town or would like to stay in Woodstock for the weekend, the Holiday Inn Express at 1470 Woodstock Pkwy will have a room block available at a discount. Please follow the link from our website or use group code, SDW, to reserve your room before July 15th. We look forward to the event, but don't want anyone to feel obligated to attend if they are uncomfortable. More information regarding the livestream will be posted on our website when available. Much love, Sarah + Christopher
Each in their own moment of boldness, Topher and Sarah connected on Coffee Meets Bagel. Plenty of reasons existed or transpired that may have kept them from ever meeting, but it was meant to be. On Monday, June 11 in the pouring rain, and after realizing that Ladybird is closed on Mondays, the two met for the first time at New Realm Brewing. Topher kept to his Seinfeld rules and only bought drinks on the first date. Sarah broke the 21st century dating rules and texted him a few hours after the date. As the dates and the weeks went by, neither could really tell what exactly was going right or what felt so different, but things were special and neither Sarah nor Topher wanted any of it to end.
After taking a 4-hour Audit exam for the third time in a year AND going into work afterwards, it doesn't take much convincing to meet up with your best friend for a drink. For Topher, that was all part of the plan to get Sarah in the right place at the right time, and with the song he wrote playing near the fountain. In a whirlwind of emotion, she said, "YES!"
