Bride's Story I remember when I first received a text message from one of my big mommies asking if I was single because she has someone in mind that will be a great fit for me. At the time, I was focused on passing my CPA exam so I didn't think much of it. She told me that he will call me sometime that weekend and I just accepted it for what it is and waited for the mysterious text from this mysterious man lol. This was on a weekday so I just assumed he was a busy man as I was too (adult life) but lo and behold, Jide texted me that same day and the rest was history. At first, I was nervous that the distance might make it difficult to continue the relationship but with Almighty God being at the center of Jide and I's relationship, it has been a great adventure. I am forever grateful to God for joining our paths. I am so ecstatic to start this next chapter with my love!! Groom's Story I had just graduated with my Master's degree that summer, and I was focused on what was next professionally. Then one day, I received a text message from my mother with the name and number of a lady in New Jersey who she was told would be a great fit for me. I was hesitant to reach out at the time because I was not looking and I was only focused on taking that next step in my career. So I told my mother I would text her over the weekend. My mother was persistent, insisting I text her that day. I obliged and sent Dolapo a text message. Let me tell you, I'm very glad I did. Being in a long distance relationship has been.....interesting. But God has been so good to us as the distance drew us closer to one another, and we've created lots of great memories together. I can't wait to create many more beautiful memories with my baby.
