Question

When should we arrive at the venue?

Answer

You should plan to arrive between 3:45 PM and 4:15 PM. The ceremony will start at 4:30 PM, once everyone is seated.

Can I bring a gift?

Answer

If you wish to give us a gift, we will set up a gift table and time to unwrap. We also have a registry on this website, Target and Amazon.

Where will the ceremony be?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors. We do not recommend wearing high heels since you might get stuck on the lawn.

How far away is the venue and where can I stay?

Answer

Otts' Lake House in the Cove is 1 hour and 45 minutes from Tuscaloosa, and roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes from Birmingham, Winfield, and Florence. If you wish to stay overnight, there are some duplex options at Hidden Cove RV Resort or multiple hotels in Jasper (about 30 minutes away). Please keep in mind that Winston County is a dry county when you make your travel plans.

Can I bring a date?

If you have a plus one that was not specifically invited, reach out to the couple so we can include them in our plans. To keep an eye on the headcount, we did not plan for a plus one for everyone.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Unfortunately, we cannot offer transportation. Bringing your own vehicle or carpooling will be required. It would be great if you could share a ride with someone, as parking is somewhat limited.

Will you serve alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have a selection of different alcoholic beverages. Please keep in mind that Winson County is a dry county. Please plan accordingly or drive responsibly.
