Bonnet Springs is a lovely spot to enjoy beautiful Florida scenery, enjoy a refreshing drink at their rooftop bar overlooking the park, and learn about Lakeland's history. While you visit, be sure to also stop by the Heritage Gardens to find a bench dedicated to Brandon Dahley (Taylor's brother), Dale Dean (Taylor's grandfather), and Elsie Smith (Taylor's grandmother) by Heather and John Smith as well as a planter with seating from the Dean Family Foundation. For ease of access, there is a tram (with a wheelchair ramp) that will take visitors from one spot to another.
A classic Lakeland spot for food and beverage in an old Tudor-style home. Emily used to bartend here, so be sure to ask her for recommendations!
Lakeland's best craft cocktail bar in the heart of downtown! Pages and pages of unique drinks that you can't get anywhere else, this place is definitely one of Taylor and Emily's stops every time they travel back to Lakeland.
An elegant Lakeland staple for cuban bites and cocktails in downtown Lakeland.
Lakeland’s very own version of Tampa’s Armature Works, The Joinery is the perfect place to go for everyone! From Mexican to sushi, pizza to ramen, and craft cocktails to ice cream, there will be a spot to satisfy all your cravings (and get a lovely view of Lake Mirror).
Not only is Florida Southern College Emily's alma mater, but it is also home to the largest collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, and it's located on beautiful Lake Hollingsworth. The campus offers tours highlighting various works by Wright, but you can also take a walk around Lake Hollingsworth.
