FAQs

Question

But what about COVID?

Answer

Trust us, we promise, it’s almost exclusively all we think about. Our wedding has gone from 120ish to 25ish folks, and while you can go indoors to grab your food, we're encouraging everyone to spend as much time as possible outdoors. We'll have a fire pit, and blankets available.

Question

How are you maintaining COVID safety protocols during the wedding?

Answer

Hell yes. We are asking that all guests get tested prior to the wedding, bring their own masks, we will also have additional masks on hand, and more hand sanitizer than you ever thought possible. Additionally, we aim to host the ceremony outdoors, and the reception will be held mostly outdoors. The good news is Luke and Kelsey aren’t really huggers anyway!

Question

Are there Ubers/Lyfts available?

Answer

Technically yes, but they could be 20-30 minutes away. We’ll be providing transportation to and from Federal Jacks after the reception and you’re also a 15-minute walk into the heart of Kennebunkport. If you take the Amtrak Downeaster up to Wells or Saco you’ll still need transportation to Kennebunkport.

Question

Can I call Kelsey “Mrs. Fraser?”

Answer

Kelsey will be keeping her last name, Doherty, in an attempt to maintain some shred of feminism in 2020.

Question

Can I use my phone/post about the wedding on social media?

Answer

Puh-lease! Kelsey works in social media and understands the joys of sending a good tweet or posting a good IG story. Have fun and please share the pics with us!

Question

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation says “and guest” then yes, you do get a plus one!

Question

Do you have rooms held at the hotel/reception venue?

Answer

Yes we do! We’re holding rooms at the Nonantum, so you can stay onsite. Use code DOHER in the following link to reserve your room. We’ve also provided other suggestions for rooms! www.nonantumresort.com

Question

Is there a plan after the reception?

Answer

We’ll have a trolley making round trips back and forth between the hotel and Federal Jacks (also a 20ish minute walk) for 3 hours following the reception.

Question

Will it be a Red-Sox-themed wedding?

Answer

Nope! ☺

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire is the “dress code” for the evening, but the ceremony may be outside in Maine in November. We promise to keep the ceremony quick, but please feel free to pile on the layers and break out the L.L.Bean boots and winter coats while you’re out there!

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free options for dinner?

Answer

Yes, but please reach out to us if you have any dietary restrictions, we want to ensure we’re accommodating everyone as best we can. And of course, this will be a nut-free wedding!

Question

Will you host a party next year?

Answer

If Dr. Fauci clears us all for vaccines by summer 2021, then there will be a (casual) party!

Question

Will you live stream the ceremony for those that cannot attend?

Answer

We heart technology. We’ll live stream, live tweet, live-anything for this wedding. We promise to provide details on accessing the live stream prior to the ceremony.

Question

Is there a wedding hashtag?

Answer

Maybe? Text Kelsey your best ideas.
