As most know, Blake & Jordan met in high school at Chippewa Valley. They met their junior year through a mutual friend - and at first, the thought of dating was never in mind. Jordan had her mind set on volleyball and which college she would attend, and Blake focused on soccer. During their junior year when it came time to take the ACT, Jordan got pretty sick and missed a lot of school. Through all of this, Blake stuck by her side- texting her daily to catch her up on school work or just to make her smile. It was during this time that their friendship began to grow into something more. Once senior year hit, Blake & Jordan were officially dating- and the whole school knew. Blake would bring Jordan breakfast during his free first period, and Jordan would wait for him during her free sixth period so they could drive home together. Jordan helped Blake find his first job, they attended Prom together, and graduated in 2012 side-by-side. Jordan went to college at University of Detroit Mercy and Blake stayed home and went to Macomb Community College (while working full-time) to stay close to her. The next couple years were tough and put some strain on their relationship, but it wasn’t enough to break it. Jordan graduated from UDM and started at Children’s Hospital as an RN and Blake was working at a local car dealership. In 2017, Blake joined the Marine Corps. While a decision like this most often breaks a relationship, it was the best decision for Blake and ultimately made their relationship stronger. On Christmas Eve in 2018, Blake came home on leave. But his homecoming wasn’t the only surprise; after Jordan & her sister Jacky came home from bootcamp in the morning, Blake got down on one knee and proposed. Jordan was absolutely thrilled, and together they got to share this exciting news with their family and friends. So, after 7 years of history, growing up, and learning, Blake & Jordan are finally engaged to love each other for the rest of their lives.
