Our union began under challenging circumstances in July 2016. John was in early residency at Tulane and Jessica had just taken a position in the emergency department as a nightshift nurse while completing graduate school. We both were involved in the care of a difficult patient when our paths crossed. Our eyes met for a brief moment in a comforting, curious stare. This was quickly interrupted by the hustle and bustle of the emergency department. We would then spend the next year wondering about that moment. Jessica would occasionally check the call list for John's name and when in the ED for a consult, John kept an eye out for Jessica. Life carried on. One year later, we double matched on tinder and bumble. This was convincing enough to find time in our busy lives for a date. July 27th, 2017 we met at Napoleon House in the French Quarter. Immediately there was an undeniable connection and trust. We tested that connection, but it withstood each challenge and here we are, stronger than ever.
Congratulations! If you’re reading this, we love you and want you to accompany us on our wedding trip! We enjoy nothing more than traveling and are grateful to have had the privilege of doing so extensively over the past few years. A destination wedding allows us to share our love for travel with you. We are both Hemingway fans and when we visited The Hemingway House, we knew this should be the place. Key West is super charming and we are so excited to gather our friends and family there.
