We're Saying "I do"!

Our story began in August 2017 at 24 Hour Fitness. I was working out at the gym when one of Derek's coworkers stopped me. He ended up introducing us and Derek and I awkwardly stood and made small talk with one another for a little while. Then just as I was leaving, Derek asked for my number. At the time I didn't think much of it, because lets face it, I was gross from working out! Well, my birthday was a couple days after that first meeting. Can you believe that Derek texted me Happy Birthday? He then asked me out on a date. We ended up going to the L.A. County Fair. We dated for a few months, but then we went our separate ways. We eventually reconnected six months later in Las Vegas and have been together ever since.

Derek planned an entire birthday weekend just for me. He had been talking about it for WEEKS! He worked hard at trying not to slip and reveal (he's bad at keeping surprises a surprise). I got to his apartment at 9:30am. The entire time we were driving, he was sweating and acting so weird in the car! As we pulled up to the L.A. County Fair I was so excited because it's such a special place to us! Plus, we hadn't been there since our first date. As we walked into the fair grounds, the photographers took a picture of us. Suddenly, Derek turned me around and there was a lot of family and friends standing there by a tree! As I walked closer to the crowed waiting for us, Derek swiftly got down on one knee with a ring in hand and asked me to marry him! P.S. We will never forget the photographer that tried to get his photo of the year!
