Do I have to book through 1st Class Travel?

Answer

Any rooms booked directly with the resort or through another third party booking site will not receive our group discount or count toward our required number of wedding group room nights. We would really appreciate you booking through 1st Class Travel! They are locally owned here in Cape Girardeau and can help with any and all of your travel needs. Our agents are ready to answer any travel related questions you may have! Their contact info is listed above.

When should I book my room?

Answer

ASAP! The sooner you book, the lower the chance that the resort sells out of rooms before you’re able to select your preferred room type.

Should I pay for the Preferred Club?

Answer

Per the Dreams website, “Upgrade to the Preferred Club and take advantage of your select status. Relish in elevated concierge service, exclusive access to the Preferred Club lounge and designated areas throughout the resort, an upgraded suite in premium location and enhanced room amenities.” Preferred club members at Dreams Riviera Cancún have access to: -Special concierge service -Access to exclusive dining option for daily à la carte breakfast at Seaside Grill restaurant -Designated beach area with beachside waiter service In our opinion, the main difference with the Preferred Club upgrade is the seated breakfast at Seaside Grill. Without preferred club, your breakfast options are the buffet at World Cafe or room service. If you were trying to stay budget-friendly, we think you could go without the Preferred Club upgrade and be just fine. If you still have questions, ask 1st Class Travel. They can help you decide which package is right for you and your family.

What if I want to stay at a different resort?

Answer

Dreams requires at least 80% of our wedding group to be guests at the resort. While we would love to have everyone with us at Dreams Riviera Cancún, we understand that this is your vacation and you may wish to stay at a different resort (adults only, for example.) You are welcome to book your own resort or ask our travel agents for recommendations nearby. Transportation to Dreams Riviera Cancún can be arranged by our travel agency as well. Please do not attempt to use local taxi or Uber services. Guests staying elsewhere will need a day pass to Dreams Riviera Cancún for the wedding day. Let us know if that applies to you and we will get you the information.

Is the resort all-inclusive and what does that include?

Is the resort family friendly?

Yes! We would love to have your little ones as a part of our celebrations. If you would like to bring additional family members to help look after the kiddos, they are welcome to book within our room block.

Do I need a passport to travel to Mexico?

Answer

YES! If you don’t have one, yours is expired, or your child needs one, please take care of it now! Wait times can be up to 8 weeks or longer!

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Cocktail attire is preferred. None of our wedding day events will take place on the sand. Keep in mind that it can be fairly windy near the ocean in the evenings.

Can I take photos and/or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refrain from photo or video recording for the duration of the ceremony. We have a wonderful team of photographers and videographers who will be there to capture our day, and we will be happy to share the images and videos after the wedding.

Question

They offered me a really good deal to go see another resort and hear a presentation. Should I do it?

Answer

You do you, but no. We made this mistake on our first trip to Mexico and it wasted the majority of the day and was really uncomfortable. Would not recommend.
