Dorotha's Version Marco and I met in Ms. Katie Lira's English class, 5th period, freshmen year. Pretty sure we didn't start the year sitting next to one another but it eventually got there. I'm all about the chase #ItsTheBestPart A few giggles here and there but nothing too serious (definitely wasn't going to let shorty know I was digging him - not in a direct way at least). One day he followed me to my locker after class and asked for my number...... The rest is #HERstory Marco's Version Dorotha and I met freshman year in the auditorium. I was sitting next to my boys at the top and spotted her at the bottom near the stage. She was wearing some Chuck Taylors and a cardigan. I had been attending Clark since middle school at that point so I knew she was a new student. She doesn't remember this but I gathered the courage to walk down and introduced myself. Once I did, she told me her name. Though we didn't get far at that moment I knew something was there. All I could remember was that cute little gap and that great big smile.
Christmas Day 2019 We were exchanging gifts. I went first and killed it (gift giving and receiving is my love language just so everyone knows.). When Marco's turn came he asked me to close my eyes; I did it and sat down. He was making a lot of noise then started talking real sweet (at this point I should have known what was up because this man does not talk sweet). He said to open my eyes and there he was on bended knee with my BEAUTIFUL ring open. I screamed over and over, fell out a few times (wouldn't have been true to Dorotha if I didn't fall out at least twice). I finally pulled myself together and said YES. The best part about the proposal is it was only the two of us in the moment. Marco and Dorotha!!!! Truthfully no one even knows if this is the real story!
