Attire/etc: Don't worry about dressing up at all! The weather is predicted to be 70 and sunny, so bring a hat and sunscreen! A picnic blanket if you have one!
This is the main celebratory event! If you can only make it to one thing, this would be a good one! Feel free to drop in any time within the window; we'll just be hanging out at the park--picnic blankets, a summer breeze, food, day drinking??, and more! I am planning to cater from Falafel Heights (https://www.falafelheights.com/about) and provide some basic bevvies, but other offerings are welcome! There are also plenty of vendors out at Balboa Park on Saturdays for additional food!

I WILL be attending this one. This is the commencement ceremony specifically for doctoral degrees where I will walk across the stage and be hooded by my advisor. The ceremony can run long depending on how quickly the speakers move through their speeches and how many names are before me in the lineup. No hard feelings if you don't attend or leave early!
