Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Kindly RSVP before May 1st; we are on a tight deadline with our vendors and need a final headcount by the 1st. If you have not RSVPed by the 1st, we will have to, unfortunately, consider you have RSVPed no. We will not be able to add guests to our guest list after this date. You will be missed!

Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP on our website. Please click the RSVP tab at the top of our website and use your first and last name to find your RSVP.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

No, while we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. Children not in the wedding will not be allowed in the venue for safety reasons.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If a plus one is given, their name or 'Guest' will appear on the RSVP page & your invitation.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire with a muted color scheme. Please no white, white floral, black, or bright colors for ladies. Please copy this link to see suggestions, color palette, & colors to avoid - tinyurl.com/hackerweddingdresscode For the ladies, some ideas are blush, light blues, tans, light browns, and pastel cocktail dresses. For the men, black, navy, light blue, & tans suit & tie or sports coat are great; please no jeans. We want our guests to be part of our wedding by wearing colors that go with the theme of our wedding! If you have any questions about the dress code, please feel free to text Kennedy 562.458.2377. We appreciate you participating in the dress code to make our wedding vision come true!

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are so lucky that we have been able to build a home together the last three year; in these three years, we have accumulated everything we could ever need for a home! With that being said, we are doing a cash only registry. While we know this is untraditonal and people love giving gifts, we cherish cards and sweet notes from our friends and families. If you would like to give us a gift, our newlywed fund is on the 'Registry' tab. It is connected to our Venmo account, using the Venmo account with provide us with direct access to your gift without any fees from the website. If you do not have a Venmo, please feel free to bring cash or a check written out to 'Derek Hacker' to the wedding. We are so grateful in advance for your gift to our new life as husband and wife!

Where should guests park?

Answer

We highly advise everyone to uber from their hotel. If you do plan on driving, please be aware that the parking in the structure of the Marriott is $12/hr with a limit of $40-$80 depending on what events are happening that day. We will be having an open bar and we want everyone to party hard; so we highly suggest getting a hotel for the night to make the most of the night celebrating us!

The ceremony and reception will be a mix of both indoors and outdoors!

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

June can be hot but we are by the bay so it can also be a little gloomy and cool. We would suggest bringing a jacket just in case.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please be seated by 4:45. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 5:00 pm.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony. But during the reception, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #dnkgotothealtar so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

There will be signs by the elevators to guide you once you find the elevator, if you have any trouble finding the correct elevator with 'The Lane' signs, feel free to ask the front desk at the Marriott for the correct elevator. Please see below information for staying at the hotel, driving to the venue, & ridesharing to the venue: If you are staying at the Marriott Bayfront: Head out through the front of the lobby, walk towards the Beach Hut Deli. There will be a elevator on the right before the deli. From there, just head up to the second floor and make a right as you come out of the elevator! For guests driving: In your maps, type in the address NOT the venue name, 900 Bayfront Ct. San Diego, CA 92101, this will bring you to the hotel attached to the venue. When you enter the cul-de-sac, there is a parking structure to right where you can park. Please be advised parking does charge a fee based on the hour. Once parked, if you are on the second floor you can walk towards the elevator and the venue is just past the elevator on the second floor. If parked on another floor, use the elevator to make your way to the second floor and the venue is to the right after you exit the elevator. For guests using rideshare: In your app, type in the address NOT the venue name, 900 Bayfront Ct. San Diego, CA 92101, this will bring you to the hotel attached to the venue. When you enter the cul-de-sac, make your way past the hotel entrance towards the Beach Hut Deli. There will be a elevator on the right before the deli. From there, just head up to the second floor and make a right as you come out of the elevators!
