Diane & Douglas

Our story began during the summer of 2020. Despite coming from different circles but having mutual friends, they had not been very close. After Doug messaged Diane on her 21st birthday, our conversations were sporadic, but something about the connection stuck. What started as a slow burn grew stronger with campus dates, weekends adventures and life as it happened.

As the years passed, we started to fall for each other more and more. From Doug introducing Diane to his Island roots, to Diane showing Doug the charm of Wausau summers, we found joy in all of our adventures. Even as Doug pursued a new path in the U.S. Navy, Diane remained a constant supporter by his side. Our love has stretched across miles and time zones, but we always come back to one another.

In the summer of 2024, Doug proposed at his parents’ house, and Diane said yes, of course, and both families celebrated together the following day. Now, we're excited to begin this next chapter, together.
