The Beltline is a 33-mile (53 km) network of paths that repurposes old rail lines. It includes trails, walkways, parks, and open green space. There are many access points but if you're wanting to spend a few hours exploring, (and you're driving) we love parking at either Ponce City Market or for free at the Historic Fourth Ward Skate Park. Ample bike parking available.
We love Ponce City Market! It was one of the memorable stops on the bus tour we took when we visited in fall 2022. There are delicious food options on the first floor and shopping on the second floor including a shop featuring Black entrepreneurs.
Originally built in 1889 to store cast-iron stoves for the Atlanta Stove Works, it is now a host to yummy food and bars with nearby shopping. There is no free parking at Krog Street Market, but you can usually find parking in the neighborhood along with plenty of interesting elements in the larger district.
Explore Atlanta with curated tours. We loved this bike tour, but there are also trolley and bus tours. You might also be interested in looking up tours related to filming sites like the Walking Dead or MCU, or touring the World of Coco Cola.
