The Blue Door Café & Bakery
This was the first restaurant we tried when we were apartment hunting when moving here for medical school! Needless to say, it's our very favorite brunch spot! Dylan loves the rotating seasonal menu choices and I love ol' reliable: the smoked new zealand king salmon & eggs or the classic chicken and waffles!
Yada Yada Coffee
A lovely little coffee shop on Front street we love walking to with the pups. The decor is thrifted chic and the seasonal lattes are super fun!
Missing Mountain Brewing Co.
One of our favorite breweries in the area with an unbeatable view of the Cuyahoga River and a smashing patio. You can find us here every Monday night for "Loyalty Night" for $2 off pints and excellent company. The best part besides the beers? Pups allowed on the patio!
Lock 15 Brewing Company
We are big craft beer enthusiasts and Lock 15 celebrates the history of Akron and the Erie canal with excellent beers and even better food. Their menu is fresh and rotates seasonally. Ash's favorite is the Pretty Boy Porter and Dylan loves getting flights (served in adorable little wooden lock boats!).
Sarah's Vineyard
This is one of our favorite, down to earth wineries, with big carafes and wood-fired pizza. They have a lovely outdoor covered seating area with a huge fireplace and you can walk along the grapes. We go here before we see concerts at Blossom right across the street and celebrated Ash's medical school graduation here!
