Can my children attend?

Answer

We love your children. We know you need a night out to share in our celebration. Leave the kiddos with granny or a sitter and enjoy our kid-free ceremony and reception.

Question

is there a post-reception gathering?

Answer

Yes. We will head out to continue the festivities in Downtown Saratoga Springs once the reception ends. We will start at the City Tavern and go from there.

Question

How do I get from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

Turn left from the chapel onto Jockey Street. Turn right onto Route 29. Head back into the city of Saratoga Springs. At the Intersection of Washington Street and Broadway (Starbucks to your left, the Gap to your right), turn right onto Broadway and a quick left onto Spring Street. At the first light, the road will come to a Y. Stay to the right onto Circular Street. The first light is Union Ave. Turn left onto Union Ave. The Racing Museum is located on the left past the intersection of Union Ave and Nelson Ave. Turn left onto Ludlow Street. The parking lot is located in the rear of the museum. Parking on the side streets around the museum will also be available. The address is 191 Union Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Google works as well :)

Question

Is the reception a buffet?

Answer

No. It is stations-style, so no need for you to make up your mind three months in advance about beef or chicken. There is a wide range of selections including vegetarian options.

Question

Is the reception cash bar or open bar?

Answer

We love you and lets be honest, we don't want you to worry about anything except how much fun you will have with us! We will be having a cocktail hour and open bar during the reception. However, if by chance, you beat us to the museum before 6:15, then the drink is up to you to cover before open bar begins.

Question

Where can guests go in the museum?

Answer

Funny thing: y'all can go anywhere in the museum you would like to see. The place is ours for our special day only and closes to the public after 4pm in honor of us. Please be mindful as the night goes on of the wonderful, beautiful and very expensive items in the museum.

Question

Can I take pictures of anything in the museum?

Answer

Within reason. The museum's website has a strict no-flash photography of paintings, as the flash can cause the paintings to deteriorate. Our photographer has to follow this rule and we need you to as well. Please refer to the museum's website racingmuseum.org for more information.

Question

Can I climb on statues or structures?

Answer

NO. Just no. Its a museum.

Question

Is the museum accessible?

Answer

Yes.

Question

Who should I contact if I have questions PRIOR to 9/7/2018?

Answer

You can contact either Amanda or Dan, but we urge you to reach out to someone you absolutely know will also have the answer to your question(s) like Amanda's sisters or Dan's parents. They will be a little busy putting the finishing touches together for you to enjoy with them.
