FAQs

The Wedding Website of Alyssa Siefert and Donald Jarvi
Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yup, we got you - a 44-seat white coach will pick up from the Portsmouth Sheraton at 4pm and return at 9:30 and 11pm. Please see the front desk if you need help finding the shuttle.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

May 31, 2018

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes of course - please indicate on your invitation RSVP or email us

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Our official registry is on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/siefert-jarvi On Zola, you can contribute to cash funds for either our honeymoon or house down payment! But we don't mind heavy envelopes at the ceremony either...

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please be in your seat by 4:45pm to ensure you don't miss anything! The ceremony is a 5 minute walk from the parking lot. We encourage guests to arrive early and check out the beautiful, ocean-front Odiorne Point State Park!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Not really - we trust our guests to look nice...

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you had a +1 on your invitation, then yes. Sadly, we couldn't give +1's to everyone since we had a strict person limit on the venue, and we apologize if we prevented you from bringing a special someone...

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This is a tough one - we love kids and believe that they add lots of joy to weddings, but we had to work in the constraints of a strict person limit. If your kids were noted on the invitation, then we hope to see them there - but if not, we can't accommodate them. And we've heard that many parents find that weddings to be good times for babysitters so that they can have adult fun!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes - and we also recommend airbnb as a fun and affordable option. Portsmouth is a friendly, walkable city with plenty of Ubers and Lyfts, so even if you're 10-15 minutes out of town, you'll be able to get where you need to go!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is a parking lot near Seacoast Science Center in Odiorne State Park, which is where both the ceremony and reception will occur. Please let the parking attendant know that you're with the Siefert/Jarvi wedding, and there will be no parking fee. The walk from lot to ceremony is about 5 minutes.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We'll keep the party going in downtown Portsmouth after the wedding :)
