This love story isn't a conventional one, and that’s exactly why it’s so perfect for us. In a world of traditional dating, we found each other in the most modern way possible: a simple "like" on Instagram. Then came a follow and a comment, which led to countless messages, and soon we were planning our first meeting. Desiree was so nervous she almost drove away from that Denny's parking lot in Oceanside. Her best friend had to pretty much force her out of the car. But once we met, everything felt so natural. We spent the day together, talking and laughing. Bonding over our shared love for music and the simple joys of life, and from that moment on, we knew this was something special. On November 16, 2013, we made it official. Over the next few years, our relationship was built on train tracks and long distances. We took turns on the Metrolink, traveling back and forth from L.A to Oceanside just to see each other for a few days and sometimes only for a few hours, but we made it happen. Through countless miles, we became each other’s biggest supporters and most importantly, each other’s best friends. To this day, every year around our anniversary, we go back to that same Denny's to eat. We've navigated the ups and downs of life and love, proving that no matter what, we were always going to find our way back to each other. In 2021, the long distance finally ended when Desiree moved to Oceanside, and we've been living our lives together ever since. Our little family has grown, as we rescued a kitten who is now 4 years old, and we recently added 2 new dogs to our home. Our journey has been unconventional, filled with twists and turns that have only made this bond stronger. As we prepare for a casual, untraditional wedding, it’s a celebration of a love that has always been authentically ours.
