Their story

06-07-2021

Like all the greatest love stories ever written, filmed, or passed along to their grandchildren Prestin and Zephany’s began on Instagram. It was the fated click of a button that wrote the rest of their life. On a random day, Prestin took the first leap and reached out while Zephany was in her final year of high school. Maybe Zephany thought it was weird that a boy from her home island had suddenly made contact despite the distance. Maybe she found it sweet that it was a chance he wanted to take. Maybe she was panicking and worried about how awkward her reply would be. Before they knew it, they were building their relationship with even more maybes in between. Maybe calls and FaceTime aren’t enough. Maybe we won’t work out long term. Maybe I’ll visit after graduation. Maybe he’s/she’s the one. After a year of long distance, facing their fair share of challenges, and plans typed out in every social media platform available they finally got to see each other in person. It was an unforgettable moment for the two. Let’s be honest, it took a great weight off their shoulders to confirm they weren’t being catfished. As much as we all love an unlikely love story, strangers on the internet can be dangerous so don’t try this at home. It was time for them to begin their lives as adults, so they decided to do it together. Since then, they have been inseparable. They faced new challenges together and even got to challenge each other about home decor and whose turn it was to do the dishes. They were blessed with a handsome baby boy and couldn’t be happier living as a family. We see where this is going. Luckily, we get to witness the next chapter of their story. As their wedding draws near, I know there’s still that one important question that everyone is wondering. And the answer: Yes, they still use Instagram.
