Crazy story, Dennis and I worked at sears together for nearly a year and I had no idea. Granted, we worked on different floors... He claims he said hi to me and I ignored him but with no memory of it all I can say to that is, timing is key. Some time later I decided to interrupt him, because hey, God shined the spotlight and I liked what I saw. We had a few interactions during lunch breaks, but things really started moving at a dinner party for a coworker. Things were never the same. Here we are today admiring our past, enjoying our present and looking forward to the future.
Dennis went above and beyond! We started the day with one of my favorite activities, swimming! Pool floats, music, sunshine and quality time! As the day progressed, we dressed up and had a candlelight dinner at Cafe Murano and strolled around Cranes Roost. It was a perfect time to reminisce on our first date and the memories we had made. I found it peculiar that Dennis wouldn't let me hold my own bag...but I later found out that the ring was in it the entire time. I was completely oblivious! We stepped aside and as I was gazing out at the lines in the water, I heard Shania Twain start to play. The tears started to flood as I turned around and saw Dennis down on one knee! He had asked my dad for my hand prior and arranged for his friend to show up and photograph the moment! I was impressively shocked, what great added thought and care. To end the night on a sweet note we met up with our mentors and good friends who reserved a Purple Velvet Booth at the Glass Knife. We felt like royalty as they welcomed us in with cheer and love! We're happy to have you here to celebrate the start of the next chapter with us.
