Mackenzie and I met at Florida College in Temple Terrace, FL on August 19th, 2014. I had just driven straight from Arkansas and after meeting her, I immediately told her I wanted to take her out that same night. We went to Bella's Italian Cafe on Bayshore Blvd and finished the night sitting downtown looking at the skyline and watching the Hillsborough River. After just a single night, I knew she was an amazing girl and I wanted to make her mine. (Daniel)

Daniel took Mackenzie to Downtown Tampa, to eat Hibachi and walk around downtown. That night was the beginning of their relationship.

After 3 amazing years of fun dates, traveling, adventuring, and growing together, Daniel proposed on a cloudy Friday evening in Tampa, Florida. He tricked Mackenzie into thinking they were going to a picnic with Daniel's brother Matt and his two kids. Once at Riverhills Park, Mackenzie soon realized there was no picnic when they began walking around and saw no sign of Daniel's brother and his niece and nephew, but saw that many candles were lit along the boardwalk. Before she knew it, Daniel was on one knee and asked her to marry him.
