We’re getting married!

Dung and Jessica met like many 20-somethings do... the Internet! More specifically, they met on Tinder. Jessica had moved back to Baltimore after finishing college at Colgate University in New York. She decided to reactivate her Tinder account in an attempt to get back into the dating world. After a few weeks of failed connections, she was about to delete her account when she matched with "Dung Tran". He caught her attention with a simple question: "If you could be a puppy photographer or a pizza taster, which would you choose?" How could she ignore such a serious question? Obviously, she responded: "How about I photograph puppies with and eating said pizza?" From then on, the two couldn't stop communicating.

Dung traveled to DC for his and Jessica's first date at a ramen shop near Jessica's job. While Dung was ordering food, she frantically texted friends under the table about how things were going. Up to that point, everything was going smoothly, which was a huge but welcomed surprise to Jessica. Unfortunately, that did not last for long. Jessica had ordered spicy ramen and had misjudged its spiciness. Forgetting she was on a date, she downed two glasses of water and fanned her mouth in an attempt to make the heat stop. Once the fire was put out, she glanced at Dung who had been smiling at her the whole time. Then... he kissed her. Turned out, deciding to go on this date, and ordering spicy ramen, really wasn't a bad idea after all.

Dung and Jessica made plans to go on their first international trip together and the couple decided on Italy, a foodie's paradise. On the second day of their trip, Dung took Jessica straight to Florence. While on the train, he was unusually quiet and Jessica was half asleep and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. The train was running about 30 minutes late and Dung was getting somewhat antsy. As soon as the train stopped at Florence, Dung rushed Jessica to a coffee shop to grab coffee and then flagged down a taxi as soon as their coffee was in-hand. The couple went to Abbazia di San Miniato al Monte, which has a panoramic view of Florence. It was a very quiet morning with only a handful of people around. Jessica started walking around looking at the gardens and the church when Dung asked to take a selfie together. As Jessica was walking away to go back to the church, Dung called out to her. She turned around and there he was on one knee. Dung had been planning on proposing before the trip, but he really wanted to make the trip extra special.
