How far is the resort from the airport?

Answer

The Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort is located about 45–60 minutes from Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR), depending on traffic. We recommend arranging transportation in advance or checking with our Travel Agent (Chad 260-341-5483) Taxis and ride-sharing (like Uber) are also available right outside the airport. Tip: After exiting customs, walk past the timeshare offers to reach the transportation area.

Is there a dress code?

WELCOME PARTY: Elevated Resort Casual (sundress, rompers, Maxi dress, linen pants, polos, button-up) WEDDING: Cocktail Attire Think: Semi-formal party Example- Women: Knee-length or midi dresses, sleek jumpsuits, heels or dressy flats Men: Dress shirts with slacks, optional blazer or sport coat. Ties optional, but a nice touch

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes! All guests traveling to Mexico need a valid passport. Be sure to double-check that yours isn’t expired.

Do I need pesos or will US dollars work?

Answer

You can use USD in most tourist spots, but having some pesos on hand is also great for taxis, tips, and local shops. ATMs are available at the airport and hotels.

Your presence is more than enough! But if you'd like to give a gift, we’re accepting honeymoon contributions through [Zola, Venmo, or Zelle]! Information is in our Registry Tab. Guests are more than welcome to gift cash as well if they would like, there will be a gift box at our wedding.

We’re planning an unplugged ceremony—so we kindly ask that you put phones and cameras away and just be in the moment with us. Don’t worry—we’ll have a professional capturing it all! You’ll be free to snap away during the reception!

Where is the wedding ceremony and reception taking place?

Our ceremony and reception will be held at resort. Ceremony will be held at the sand terrace and reception will be at the garden and wooden deck! We’ll provide exact time and location details on our wedding website. (close to the wedding day)

What's the weather like in January in Puerto Vallarta?

Answer

January is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Puerto Vallarta! You can expect sunny skies, low humidity, and temperatures around 75–85°F (24–29°C) during the day and cooler evenings in the mid-60s°F (18–20°C). We recommend packing lightweight clothing for the day, plus a light sweater or jacket for breezy nights—especially if you’re by the water. Yes—and it’s one of the best times! January falls right in the middle of humpback whale season, so you may even catch a glimpse of them breaching in the bay!

What if I can't make it to the wedding?

Answer

We’ll miss you so much—but we completely understand that traveling for a destination wedding isn’t always possible for everyone. Your love and support mean the world to us, whether you’re celebrating with us in person or from afar. If you're unsure, we totally get it—just please let us know no later than Friday, August 1st, 2025, so we can finalize all the fun details. 💌 And if you can’t make it, we’ll be sending lots of photos, videos, and love your way!

Can I get around Puerto Vallarta easily without a car?

Answer

Yes! Taxis and Uber are both available and affordable. Many areas are also walkable, especially near the hotel zone and beach. Renting a car isn’t necessary unless you plan to explore far beyond the city.

Is the resort all-inclusive?

Yes! The resort is all-inclusive, which means your meals, drinks (yes, cocktails too!), snacks, and many activities are covered in your stay. Will there be other events besides the wedding day?

Yes! We're planning a few fun extras like a welcome gathering, maybe a beach hangout, and a possible farewell brunch. We’ll post the full schedule on our wedding website near the wedding date so you can plan accordingly and join in as much or as little as you'd like.

Will there be a photographer? Can we take photos too?

Yes, we’ll have a professional photographer & Videographer capturing all the magic! You’re welcome to take photos during the reception—but during the ceremony, we kindly ask that you keep phones away and be present with us.
